Profiling

As an individual, you are uniquely you. Understanding more about who you are and your individual strengths can bring great opportunities for both personal and professional growth. If you want to ensure that you and your team members are living up to their full potential, profiling can help.

Profiling tools enable you to develop insights into your personality, emotional intelligence, strengths and brain-based behaviours to enhance wellbeing, achieve aspirations, and leverage performance at work or play.

By applying profiling techniques within your workplace, you can help your team better communicate and collaborate to achieve optimal performance. When organisations better understand individuals, and alter the working environment to suit team members, they are able to generate deeper engagement, foster greater sense of employee wellbeing and achieve stronger results.

Linda Rowley Consulting offers a range of profiling tools for individuals and organisations including:

  • Myers Briggs Type Indicator
  • Strengths Profile
  • Mayer Salovey Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test
  • PRISM Brain Mapping

You can read more about each tool below, however please contact me for further discussion on which profile will best suit your needs.

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Personality Profile
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) is a self-report questionnaire designed to make Jung’s theory of psychological types understandable and useful in everyday life.

The results provide insight into how each person takes in information and gives it meaning, makes decisions, judgments and takes action, where we draw our source of personal energy and how we prefer to interact with the outer world.

It describes the valuable differences between people and helps you to identify your unique strengths and gifts.  This information can be used to better understand yourself and others, including motivations, strengths and potential areas of growth.

Results from the profile can be used to enhance communication, decision making, conflict resolution, team building, career development, time and stress management, customer relations and change management.

Strengths interventions

LRC offers a range of strengths tools and interventions to support you and your employees, including:

VIA Character

The VIA Character is a popular tool within schools and communities to measure character trait features of personality that are valued in their own right. The insight generated from this survey format tool is particularly useful for students or those seeking employment who wish to understand themselves at greater depth in order to make informed decisions about their future.

Strengths Profile

The Strengths Profile model measures the capacity of thinking, feeling and behaving to help you perform at your best in the pursuit of your goals. By knowing more about your strengths, you can understand what really motivates you and use these insights to shape your personal and career success by doing more of what you enjoy, and less of what you don’t.
Strengths Profiling can be a helpful tool for recruitment, career development and building stronger teams and is often conducted on an annual basis or as individuals change roles.

Mayer Salovey Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT)

MSCEIT is designed to assess and develop emotional intelligence ability in four key areas:

  • Recognise your own and others’ emotions
  • Generate and use emotions in problem solving
  • Understand emotions and how emotions may change
  • Manage your own and others’ emotions.

These abilities can help to monitor your own and others’ feelings and emotions, and use this information to strategically and intelligently communicate more effectively, increase personal resilience and achieve goals.  MSCEIT can be of great value to develop emotional intelligence in managers and leaders.

PRISM Brain Mapping

PRISM Brain Mapping is an online, neuroscience-based tool specifically designed to identify the behavioural preferences that directly relate to personal relationships and work performance.

PRISM provides three distinct profiles to ‘map’ your behaviour, including:

  • how you naturally prefer to behave
  • the extent to which you feel it necessary to modify your behaviour on occasions to achieve key objectives; and
  • the overall pattern of behaviour that you tend to use for most of the time.

In addition to the eight behaviour dimension maps, PRISM generates up to a 60-page personalised report which measures 26 key aspects of work preference.

PRISM can provide significant value when applied to enhance leadership, career development, coaching, team building and recruitment.
